A quick experiment with Flickr to reveal the way people tag images

A simple little experiment with the Flickr API. The site goes and grabs a recently uploaded image tagged with each colour of the rainbow.

Nothing fancy here in terms of coding, but an excuse to look into the Flickr API and see how it does things.

Interestingly it reveals more about the terms people use when tagging images, and you’ll often get the same image under several colours, suggesting that people tag colours as a set and are happy to tag several colours to an image even if it’s not predominantly that colour.
